Easy Rasmalai with Ricotta Cheese

by Balvinder. 20 Comments

Rasmalai is a delicious Indian dessert, which is loved by almost everyone. It consists of Indian cottage cheese cakes immersed in cardamom and saffron flavored milk. The cakes are made in the same way as rasgulla but I am preparing it with store bought ricotta (Italian cheese). Since ricotta falls in the same category as paneer, that can be heated without melting, it is a perfect choice for making rasmalai.
