Easy to make, a perfect for all festivals, Kheer is Indian version of rice pudding made by slow cooking rice in milk with addition of fragrant ingredients like cardamom powder, rose water, saffron and generous amount of almonds and raisins. Kheer can be eaten cold or warm depending on how the weather is in your side of the woods. It’s an exquisite desert in itself, however on special occasions or during monsoon kheer is best enjoyed with malpuas. And malpuas must always be eaten with kheer. The wholesome combination is heavenly and you will be overwhelmed with a wonderful feeling of satiation.
